Second Life convention, San Fran

This is my first post from San Fransisco on the eve of the Second Life convention. By way of an introduction to Second Life, check out this video complilation of some of SL's special spots K/O Artilect.

There are some fledgling examples of real life businesses starting to take themselves into Second Life. Check out this blog from Starwood Hotels which documents the development of a virtual hotel in SL as a precursor to RL construction sometime on 2008. The band Duran Duran are also about to take the plunge. Read more here.

SL is still unchartered territory for most industries and the potential for involvement and collaboration is huge.
