Exploring la blogosphere

Following on from Steve's article on Wikipedia on the growing ranks of bloggers with Wikipedia pages, I thought I'd share a tip I use to understand foreign blogoshperes better. Wikipedia has a small but growing repository of fascinating information on movers, shakers, platforms and history behind country based blogging networks. For example, a search for Belgian blogosphere brings back some great insights on that particular social media landscape. There's also a wealth of information on the Pakistani blogoshere.

How often to companies and the agencies tread roughshod into a new market without the knowledge and experience to understand what collaborative opportunities exist? This is a surefooted step in that direction.
