WOM awards go to 1000heads!
1000heads were recently nominated for three awards in the inaugural Word of Mouth Marketing Awards organised by World Advertising Research Centre in association with WOM UK. The three nominations were a result of WOM campaigns run for STA Travel and the V&A Museum.
Thanks to the hard work of all Heads, we won ‘Best Identification and Targeting of Influencers’ for our success with the STA Travel campaign! Go us! Just when we were thinking that the evening was over and done however (award winning wise at least), the organisers announced that 1000heads had received the ‘Judges Special Award’ for our overall approach (and, we like to think, all round good looks). It was a spontaneous decision made by the panel based on the passion we’d expressed across a variety of different campaigns.
Steve Barton, Chairman of the judging panel and President of WOM UK said of this recognition: “The professional standard of the campaigns entered by 1000heads was incredible. They were well planned, developed, executed and followed through.”
Should I finish this post in keeping with award ceremony tradition? Basically provide a long list of thanks to a large number of people you don’t know or just settle for hearty thanks to everyone involved? I think I’ll step down from the podium for now…
